Who is a ROCK, except our God – Pt. 2

Who is a ROCK, except our God – Pt. 2

Ps. 18:31  For who is God, except the Lord?  And who is a rock, except our God?

To continue the above thought and reiterate/add to my last post . . . I ask again . . . In whom can I really put my complete and total trust?  Who will never, ever fail me?  On whom can I always depend?  Family?  Friends?  Husband?  Child?  My answer is this:  no one but Jesus.

Jesus will be there into eternity.  He is my creator and sustainer, my provider and protector, my employer, my best friend, my husband – my everything.  And to say one more time, He is my Rock.

“On Christ the solid rock I stand – All other ground is sinking sand . . . ”

Loved ones die; Jesus lives forever . . . and comforts us in our sorrow.  Jobs are lost; Jesus provides (“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life . . .” Mt. 6:25)   Friends betray; Jesus loyally stays by our side – He is the truth that never wavers.  For who is a rock, except our God?

His all-encompassing  presence anchors . . . His perfect peace overtakes . . . His tender love overwhelms . . . For who is a rock, except our God?

The lover of our soul, He is.  The keeper of our heart, He is.  The lifter of our head, He is.  Who is a rock, except our God?

“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness . . .”

So, as I bring my blogging on the topic of “My Rock” to a close, I want to encourage all of you who are reading this to place your hope and trust in no one else but Jesus, for Jesus will never fail you.  It took a series of many disappointments, heartaches, and failures for me to learn this but . . . I’m so glad that I have learned it!  And I pray, for those who don’t know Him, that “Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Yes,  Jesus’ love is like none other – it has stood the test of time.  Oh, what amazing love!!  For who is a rock, except our God!
