The Reason for the Season?

The Reason for the Season?

Hello friends,

I hope this special season finds you well and in good spirits. 🙂

Although I have been unsuccessful in finding the time to blog in the past few weeks, I have had many things swirling around in this scattered brain of mine – many things that I have thought to write about. However . . .

I just want to talk about Jesus.

Jesus – the Light of the world.                                                                                                                           Jesus – the Lamb of God.                                                                                                                                    Jesus – the reason for the Christian’s hope.                                                                                                      Isn’t He supposed to be the FOCUS of our attention during these holidays (holy days)?

Could it be that the “Reason for the Season” is not the main attraction?

Perhaps that . . . in the midst of all our partying and decorating and baking and frantic shopping and sending out cards and . . . could it be that we have only given Him a “bit part”, as opposed to making Him “center stage”?  For, though none of these things are wrong in and of themselves, are they making us think more about Him . . . or . . . are they causing us to think about Him less?  I know that in the midst of all my busyness last week, I didn’t have nearly as much time to spend with the Lord.  And since this season is supposed to be about celebrating His birth, that doesn’t feel quite right. 🙂

Just something to ponder, as I myself am doing.

Stay tuned for more posts this week and next . . .

In His Love,

Trish
